The wide appeal of Ten Miles of Venus can be attributed to their talent for great melody lines. Ten Miles of Venus has appeal that is pure and simple. Bassist Johnny Trauma and percussionist Alex Mroz, the backbone of Ten Miles of Venus, provide instant ground breaking grooves. Together, Ten Miles of Venus is able to elevate their listeners to another level of rhythmic awareness. The result is a sound that has pleased fans from this up-and-coming quartet.

Ten Miles of Venus derived their name from a book of poetry. Formed in 1998, the four-member rock band consists of Stuart Bragg (vocals), Reggie Bragg (guitar), Johnny Trauma (bass), and Alex Mroz (drums) they have a hard-hitting sound that continues to evolve blending ’21st Century-style rock with an alternative edge.

Brothers Stuart and Reginald Bragg met Johnny during their performance at a friend’s wedding reception. Realizing their talent extended far beyond the typical cover bands, the trio began rehearsing some original music. After several months of rehearsing, recording, and writing in a small studio in Stuart’s Manhattan apartment, the trio decided that they needed one more element- a drummer. Stuart reluctantly auditioned and eventually enlisted Alex Mroz- a Polish musician who moved to the United States in search of a music career.

Ten Miles of Venus is quickly evolving onto today’s music scene. They have recently performed before a crowd of more than three thousand fans when they opened for Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street band. They also have had the unique opportunity to open for The Flock of Seagulls this past summer to 1500 standing room only guests in Long Island N.Y.
